ABOUT HIGHWAY 4 COOKING CENTRE:
Highway4 restaurants offer a range of traditional Vietnamese foods, with many Hanoi favourites as well as selected specialties from the northern, central, and southern provinces. The menu has been specially crafted to maintain the traditional flavours of Vietnam, whilst bearing a fusion with Western cooking style. A new menu is introduced twice a year to reflect seasonal specialties whilst we also introduce monthly specials at each restaurant and bring you exotic flavours as and when they are available.
Highway4 offers a wide variety of both meat and seafood dishes, a host of steamboat dishes, crisp Vietnamese salads, an innovative selection of fried rices, invigorating broths, or taste the famous Highway4 catfish spring rolls, which lead a formidable selection of rolled favourites.
In Vietnam alcohol is rarely consumed alone so even if you are drinking post-dinner then delve into our extensive tapas menu. Highway4 uses no artificial food enhancers in food preparation.
Since 2003 Highway4 has been holding cooking classes with a focus on interaction, active participation, entertainment and fun. Enjoy a guided tour around an original Hanoi street market, then relax for a cyclo ride across the city centre before learning how to make some classic Vietnamese dishes in a traditional restaurant setting.
COOKING CLASSES FOR FOREIGNERS:
09.15: At Highway4 get kitted out in your chef’s outfit whilst our chef talks you through today’s dishes. Then our chef will lead you through each dish, giving you plenty of opportunity to get involved and try your hand at reproducing the flavours.
11.15: Dine on the dishes you have just prepared. We will also supply you with a recipe booklet containing all the information you need to reproduce an authentic taste back home.
12.00: Farewell
