DETAILED ITNERARY:
DAY1: ARRIVAL VIENTIANE
Upon arrival Vientiane capital of Lao at Wattay international Airport, you are met and transferred to your centrally located hotel. After that we start to visit the major sights of the capital; including the oldest Wat Sisaket with thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeopreviously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang Stupa , we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument , which is well known as Vientiane ’s own Arc de Triumph.And visiting the National Museum ( Revolutionary Museum ) where varied antique items and legend of Laos ’s history fighters and leaders displace from the ancient times to new revolution period.Overnight in Vientiane.
DAY2: VIENTIANE-LUANG PRABANG
Breakfast and we enjoy to visit the Central Market call ’ Morning Market ’ where you can find the antique items for collection, well handmade textile and gift away items We spend the rest of this day touring Lao capital . We then board a short flight to Luang Prabang, which is perhaps the best - preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia . UNESCO registered 1995 as World Cultural Heritage City . The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Asia. On arrival, we transfer you to hotel. After a short rest we visit Wat Mai , Wat Sene then climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as viewing a beautiful panorama sunset over this once royal ancient city and the Mekong River., we are strolling around to see the Street Night Bazaar , where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textile by local and hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang. (B)
DAY3: LUANG PRABANG-PAK OU CAVE
Breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple of impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham , and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple. We then board a boat embarking upstream on the Mekong River , which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves , crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai , where they make the local rice wine. And take a short drive to Ban Phanom , well known for its hand weaving with natural dyes. Return to the city by late evening for observing the sunset at Wat Siphouthabath Overnight in Luang Prabang (B)
DAY4: LUANGPRABANG-KUANGSI WATERFALL
This morning you may want to wake up early and participate in the daily early morning ritual of saffron-clad monks with their black Alms-giving bowls being given offerings from the local people, including the ubiquitous sticky rice.Breakfast, we then visit The National Museum at the former Royal Palace , which displays a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign visit the morning Phousi Market where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will visit local village of Lao ethnic Ban Thapene , Khmu Village, then drive to the beautiful Khuangsi Waterfall where you can splash around in the pools or walk along the forest paths, return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon.Overnight in Luangprabang.(B)
DAY5: LUANGPRABANG-PAKSE-TAD FANE BY QV513 LPQ PKZ 11H20-12H50
After breakfast, relax on their own activities till transfer to Luang Prabang airport for departure to Pakse, the province which is best-known for coffee and lands, apart from the famous historic war.Arrive in Pakse airport, meet local guide and take a short drive to Pakse city for lunch at local restaurant. Then, drive up to Boloven plateau for visit Tadfane waterfalls, locating in Dong Huasao national park, is the highest waterfalls in Boloven plateau. On the way, visit coffee and tea plantations. Relax and overnight at Tadfane resort.(B)
DAY6: TADFANE-WAT PHOU-KHONG ISLAND
After breakfast, take a drive to Champasak for visit Wat Phou. En-route, we stop to visit Ban Houei Houne, a village of ethnic minority of Katou. We will learn more about traditional way of rural life with their fascinating culture of people there. There are lots of nice views of villages with tea and coffee plantations along the road side. we take a drive to the boat landing, and take a drive downstream along the Mekong river, through beautiful scenery with mountains range and also local villages along the Mekong valleys to Champasack, the nearest town to the fantastic archaeological sight of Wat Phou. Continue by car about 2hrs drive to get to Khong Island, the 4.000 Islands, where the Mekong reaches up to 14km wide during the rainy season. Don Khong is the largest of the Mekong Islands at 16 km long and 8 km wide and its capital is Muang Khong, a small former French settlement. We take a small ferry boat to cross to Khong Island and check-in at hotel.Overlooking the view of the Mekong.Overnight in Khong Island.(B)
DAY7: KHONG ISLAND-LIPI-KHONE PHAPHENG-PAKSE
After breakfast, We take a small ferry boat to cross to Khong Island then we take a boat to visit Don Det & Don Khone Island ( The nicest Island ) then visit LIPI waterfall and the fisherman village of Ban Khone.Lunch will be served at local restaurant in Dondet On return, we take a short drive to the Lao-Cambodia border at Weukham and the sight of Khone Phapheng Waterfall , which both South East Asia ’s biggest water falls. Return to Pakse by late afternoon.Overnight in Pakse.(B)
DAY8:PAKSE-VIENTIANE-DEPARTURE
Early Morning, transfer to Domestic airport to board a flight to Vientiane then connect flight to next destination .(B)
